About Me

Hi, I’m Hazel, owner of ARTventurers Swindon and Mum of 2 young daughters. I simply love spending time with my girls doing arts and crafts and they even help me out with my class art samples!

After being in the creative industry for over 20 years doing a variety of design related jobs such as designing greeting cards & wrapping paper, creating patterns for accessories as well as producing flyers & graphics for corporate companies I was then made redundant following the pandemic.

I set up my own creative business during lockdown designing family photo books so I could work around my girls. This was great at the time, but I came to discover how much I missed the social interaction that sitting in front of my computer was not giving me. So, joining the ARTventurers franchise was the perfect step for me in bringing creativity, flexibility and social fun together!

I love sharing my passion for art and encouraging babies, toddlers and children to get ARTY and CREATIVE along with their parents and grandparents!

🎉 What a lovely day! I’ve spent this afternoon at one of my little ARTist’s 1st Birthday Party 🥳🌍 As a party provider I can tailor my activities to suit your theme. Today’s theme was ‘Save The Planet’ which was a one I’d not done before! I love a challenge!👶 👧 🧒 So this is what the little party guests and birthday girl got up to….🟢 🔵 They searched for balls in the recycled shredded paper pool.🐙 🐬 🦞 🐟 Swatted the crazy foam ocean with fly swatters and discovered sea creatures beneath the foamy waves! 🌊🐯 Made a paper plate endangered tiger.🎈 Painted balloons to make them look like the Earth 🌍🌳 Create a Spring tree using their fingerprints🦒 🦓 Practising their fine motor skills by scooping the green rice in the safari sensory tray 🐘 🐵 🦁🎁 Collaborated to paint the birthday girl’s special banner and keepsake fingerprint canvas!😀 Everyone enjoyed themselves including me!

🖼️ There was some fantastic ball rolling painting going on for our letter L of our LOVE canvas showstopper!
🧑‍🎨 We had a new little ARTist join us this term and she was fascinated with watching the painted balls rolling around over the paper. 👀 🥰
🥰 I witnessed one Mummy making her daughter smile with her paper cup dragon 🐉 You blow through the hole in the bottom of the paper cup and it makes the tissue paper flames move! 🔥

🤩 What an amazing first day of our new term!👩‍🎨 This morning at Millennium Hall in Purton our lovely little ARTists have been busy battling dragons for our Knights and Dragons themed class to celebrate St George’s Day 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 🐉 🛡️ 🎨 They have been..🔥 Making paper cup fire breathing dragons 🐉🏰 Using their fine motor skills to scoop sand in the castle sand tray🐉 Creating footprint dragons 👣🛡️ Painting knight’s shields and exploring our large painty area 🖌️🎨 Using their fine motor skills to ping elastic bands covered in paint to decorate their shield. ⭐️ Exciting news!!! ⭐️🥰 Our very special ARTventurers 2024 Charity Week will be running the w/c 6th May when we'll be having TONS of fun in our classes across the country to raise money for a variety of amazing local charities.🐼 This year we’ve chosen to support @growbabyswindon as our branch charity. Growbaby Swindon provide free baby essentials to families with children aged between 0-5 years in Swindon.🎪 We will be having a special Carnival theme, getting dressed up in fancy dress and also taking part in a fun sponsored 'Painty Footprint Challenge'!👣 Our challenge is to see how many painty footprints each of our mini artists can create in just one minute!
